In Light of Eternity....

Our family has never been closer than it has in the past six months. During those six months my aunt, mother, father, father-in-law and son have all gone on to heaven. When you lose someone, and I use that term loosely because I do know where they are, it makes you appreciate those that remain. You begin to see everything from a new perspective. Things that used to be so important do not hold the same value as before. If dishes need washing and your 2 1/2 year old grandson says "hold you", you drop everything and hold him. If the kitchen needs straightening and your new doctor son shows you his yearbook, you stop, sit down and look at it right then. If your daughter says, "mom lets go shopping", you go! In light of the past six months, I am very careful to not say, "we can do that next week or next month or even next year! We are not promised tomorrow. All we have is today. Trying to see all in light of eternity changes your view!
